Rev. Bryan Keith Taylor, Senior Pastor
Early Life and Faith Foundations
Pastor Bryan Keith Taylor, known to his congregation as Pastor Keith, was born in 1959 in Jacksonville, Florida. He grew up deeply rooted in the Congregational Holiness Church (CHC). With both parents as ministers, Pastor Keith’s life has been steeped in faith from an early age. His spiritual journey began at Southside CHC, further enriched by his formative years at Evergreen CHC, where his father served as pastor and superintendent of the Florida Congregational Holiness Conference. As a young adult, Pastor Keith continued his service at Oceanway CHC, where his mother was the pastor. Here, he took on numerous roles, including musician, teacher, minister, and Royal Rangers commander.
Ministry Leadership and Service
At 25, Pastor Keith took on a significant leadership role as the Florida District Christian Education Director for CHC, a position formerly known as the Youth Director. Over the years, he has served multiple terms, accumulating over 25 years in this vital role, shaping the faith and education of countless young people.
Community Outreach and Expansion
In the early 1990s, Pastor Keith became a founding member and Associate Pastor of Witness Ministries CHC. For over a decade, he was instrumental in fostering various outreach programs, such as feeding the homeless, neighborhood canvassing, jail ministry, nursing home ministry, and music outreach, where he performed inspirational songs on his acoustic guitar.
Continuing Education and Ordination
Pastor Keith’s commitment to his faith and community continued into the 2000s when he received his ordination through the CHC. He remains dedicated to ongoing education through the CHC curriculum, continually seeking to grow in his ministry.
Recent Leadership Roles
Recently, Pastor Keith served as the Associate Pastor at Woodstock Park CHC for five years before being installed as the Senior Pastor in 2022. His leadership is characterized by a deep passion for Christ and a welcoming spirit that embraces all who seek to grow in faith.
Personal Life and Interests
Outside his ministerial duties, Pastor Keith has balanced over 40 years of service with the City of Jacksonville with his pastoral and family responsibilities. He married his wife, Georgeanne, in 1983, and together they have three children and four grandchildren. He loves his family very much.
Music and Ministry
Music plays a significant role in Pastor Keith’s life and ministry. He is a multi-instrumentalist, playing guitar, bass guitar, piano, harmonica, and singing. His love for music is an integral part of how he connects with and inspires his congregation.
Devotion to Christ and Community
Above all, Pastor Keith’s life is driven by his deep devotion to Jesus Christ and his heartfelt desire to welcome new members into the church community, encouraging them to share in his journey of faith.
Reverend George L. Dugger, Pastor Emeritus
Rev. George Leslie Dugger, born in 1943 in Sanderson, FL, has devoted his life to faith and community. He was saved at 13 at the CHC FL District Youth Camp and served in the U.S. Army at an Army Hospital in Alaska. His education includes Florida State College at Jacksonville, Jacksonville University, Luther Rice Theological Seminary, and CHC Continuing Education.
George married his wife Sharon in 1967, and they have two sons, two daughters-in-law, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Ordained in 1984, George has held numerous roles in the CHC Florida District, including District Bulletin Editor, District Christian Education Director, and District Assistant Secretary/Treasurer. At Woodstock Park CHC, he served as teacher, youth director, Associate Pastor, and for 33 years, as Senior Pastor. Since 2022, he has been WPC’s Pastor Emeritus, continuing to guide and support the congregation.
